U.S.-Taiwan Business Club 2012 Winter Networking Event

The year-end Winter Networking Event kicked off with Mr. Wilfred Muskens, Deputy Secretary of Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development, and his thoughts on how to enhance bilateral commerce and cooperation. Mr. Muskens had just recently returned from Taiwan at the invitation of Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, and he had much to share of his experience in his speech entitled “Taiwan and Pennsylvania: Good Friends, Great Opportunities.”

Aside from the usual speech and mingling, a new component called “Knowing Your Fellow Executives” was added to the Business Club program. As the name explains, this component of the program provides distinguished business people a platform to introduce their company and explain their business model. During this event's “Knowing Your Fellow Executives” session Mr. William Yeh, President & CEO of CSI Technology Group and Ms. Wendy Shen, President & CEO of Nygala Corp. took the stage to share details about their respective businesses.

Mr. Yeh founded CSI Technology Group which specializes in providing comprehensive software solutions for public safety, judiciary and regulatory agencies. Ms. Shen runs Nygala Corp which owns and operates FLOMO, a major national brand of gift bags, party supplies, stationery and holiday/seasonal merchandise. The pilot of this new platform won high praise from Business Club members, as the platform creates another highlighted opportunity to get to know each other better and ultimately create more business opportunities.
