Building Straing Ties with the New Hamphsire New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development

Anne Hung, Director-General of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Boston, visited New Hampshire’s economic development Commissioner, Jeffrey J. Rose in one of the series of annual visits to local States governments and business communities to strengthen the bilateral relations and cooperation.

Mr. Jeffrey J. Rose is the Commissioner of New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development (DRED). The mission of DRED is to expand opportunities in New Hampshire through the attraction of new businesses and the expansion of existing businesses, and also seek to promote New Hampshire products and businesses to overseas markets.

DG Hung was accompanied by Peter Shih, TECO’s Commercial Director and Director Kuan. Mr. Christopher S. Way, Interim Director of Division of Economic Development, DRED, also attended the meeting. During the meeting, TECO briefed Mr. Rose and Mr. Way on the latest developments with regard to US-Taiwan bilateral trade and investment relations as well as the emerging industries in Taiwan and the opportunities they may bring forward in terms of trade or investment for businesses of both sides. Ms Hung and Mr. Rose also exchanged views on possible bilateral cooperation and exchange in the area of trade, investment, tourism and higher education in the future.
