Hawaii Governor Abercrombie Visits Taiwan to Mark 20 Years of State Relations

Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie visited Taiwan from July 9th to 12th 2013 to mark the celebration of the 20 year anniversary of Hawaii's sister-state relationship with Taiwan. Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs warmly welcomed Governor Abercrombie and his delegation at a reception on July 10 upon his arrival. The Governor also met with with President Ma during his visit, and marked the twenty-year anniversary of sister-state relations by exchanging tokens with Honorary Lin Junq-Tzer, the Minister Without Portfolio in the Executive Yuan who also holds the seat of the Governor of Taiwan Province under the Republic of China (Taiwan).
